I've signed up for my first formal graphic design course since I was in High School. Classes started last week.

I'm a really deadline driven person. So I'm looking forward to having assignments and due dates and general project outlines. Having homework assignments due every week is going o force me to actual do design work, rather than just messing around on photoshop or illustrator and having nothing to show for it after several hours. I have to ' produce' now rather than just playing around.

I'm also really excited to finally learn the 'right' way of doing everything. I'm mostly self-taught on Photoshop and Illustrator. I can passably retouch my photos, color correct, and the like, but I don't know if the way I do it is standard or if there's an easier way, or a particular order to things. I mean when I discovered adjustment layers I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. I just wonder what else I'm missing.
